Audi launches first vehicle-integrated toll technology for the US



Beginning later this year, Audi of America will expand its vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) technology offering with the launch of a vehicle-integrated toll payment technology on select vehicles. The Integrated Toll Module, or ITM, is a toll transponder built into the vehicle's rearview mirror, allowing drivers to access toll roads in the U.S. and in parts of Canada and Mexico.

Here's how it works: automakers design over-the-top performance cars that are included in the Gran Turismo video game, and they get the itch to actually build their concept. Audi has done this with its new e-tron Vision Gran Turismo concept. How cool would it be to see one of these concepts on the streets of Portland, OR? Maybe someday, we'll have the chance to check one out here at Audi Beaverton.

Audi's e-tron SUV drives 248 miles per charge



When Audi first trotted out its e-tron SUV concept, it was promising: there was talk of the electric crossover managing 311 miles on a charge, which would put Tesla's Model X to shame. Audi has revealed that the production version of the e-tron prototype has an estimated range of 248.5 miles on the WLTP driving cycle thanks to its 95kWh battery. That's very usable for driving around the beautiful city of Portland, OR and Audi may have an ace up its sleeve: fast charging.
